A David Meanix like project "My Fear"

Arachnophobia is the name for the fear of spiders. It is the most common example of an animal-based phobia and many people experience it mildly. Spiders are one of my fears.

 His photos and art is a little unusual, it is parts of pictures thrown together is is neat to see it in a different way its better that just a picture of a camera it gives more detail! The three photos above are three of his popular pieces of art. Most of the art work is creepy looking but it is detailed is which I like about it. 

Five things that I am afraid of are spiders, snakes, being somewhere alone where I do not know anyone, and scary movies! I watch the movies but after that I am usually scared.

  First  we had to look through the species above! I think that in photoshop you had to use the eraser tool and use different layers to place the different photos. You will have to crop and dodge or burn, and the smudge tool, etc.

I went to some art galleries Friday night in Philadelphia! Thought I would share the pictures.

Frandy Jean, Haitian Painter

Today we were given a presentation on Haiti and Frandy's art. We  learned about Haiti and how people live, their culture, their place of work, their houses, etc. People there have a different way of life, they go everyday working on the streets and trying to support their family and trying to make money to send their children to school. Children there go to school for 16 years rather than 12 as we do here. Frandy makes jewelry and was inspired by the earthquake, he makes his beads for the jewelry from paper. His paintings are mainly from water colors and are very detailed. Today I learned a lot and it was very interesting to  see Haiti and the artwork Frandy makes!

"Fight for Student Rights"

 "Student Rights" I chose the topic of student rights because we should have a say in our education. We should not have rules that we can't drink gatorade, and that our clothes have to be certian lengths, that we can't use our personal belongings during class.  We shouldn't be forced to do things we don't want to do. We should be able to use our phones, and iPods, etc. It is not a distraction. I believe that wearing pajama pants is comfy and who doesn't want to be comfy in school?! We need to fight for our rights as students!
